This was more by accident than a picture by design. Do you think it is a happy accident or just a bad picture. I like the abstract/surreal feel.

Anna Homecoming with the Grandsons
As promised we took the four grandsons to the Anna Homecoming, Saturday evening. My wife and I have since decided to take them all at the same time next year.
The biggest ride at the event this year was the Rocko Plane. The Granddaughters which are older wouldn't ride it so I was surprised when the younger boys wanted to give it a try.
Much to my further surprise they rode it several more times. By the end of the night they had ridden every ride there.
This is Evan, and I won't tell you how many shots I took just trying to get one good pan of any of them. This isn't even much of a pan but it was the best of the bunch. I had a really nice one with an empty seat.
Avery and Austin sporting their Ohio State T's get a cool ride in the front car of the little roller coaster ride.
After a bit of panic of not being able to find Isaiah after he went into the Run-A-Muck play house, I found him inside, hiding in the ball pit. KIDS!
The ride the Tempest was one of their favorites too.
I thought this was a pretty cool night shot.
We had a great time but I must admit that Papaw and Nanna were a bit tuckered.

Anna Homecoming (Just a few shots)
My wife and I took the Granddaughters to the Anna Homecoming. Here are a few shot from our outing. We are doing the Grandsons the next night.
This is one of those swing rides. I used the longest exposure that I could, I think it was 3 seconds and a fire hydrant for a tripod.
Maddie, Emily and Hanah with a little face paint.
The Big Fun Slide and this Whirly Ride were their favorites.
Here are a few of the car show that was going on at the time.
Betty Boop still looking good after all these years.

Bat and Ball
A good friend of mine let me borrow his Sigma 50-500mm f/4.0 lens. I thought I'd give it a try at one of my granddaughters softball games. I must say that having the ability to zoom from 50 to 500mm gives you quite a bit a versatility. About the only draw back besides the f/4.0 is the weight. This bad boy weighs in at 7 pounds. Here's the best shot I got at the game, taken from behind the fence in Center Field.

Armstrong Air & Space Museum
I went to the Armstrong Air & Space Museum this weekend to take yet more pictures for My Hometown Ohio blog. These are the ones I don't plan on using for that blog.
Here's one from the outside. I tried to find a new angle to shoot from.
I found this display on Coke and Pepsi in space interesting.
This is what the inside of the Gemini capsule looks like.
This had to be my coolest shot for the day. They have this light and mirrored hallway to simulate starts and space you walk through to get to the theater.
For all the time I've lived in the area and drove past it on I75 I had never visited the museum until now. So it was a pretty neat experience for me. They have an upcoming event that I hope to make it back for called the Tri-County Field of Honor July 13-20.

Troy Walk About Part 1
Friday after work, I dropped my wife off at the movies in Piqua and I went to Troy to take some downtown pictures for my "My Hometown Ohio" blog. I thought I'd share a few here.
This first one is the old Power Plant.
I think this one of the street lights came out pretty cool!
Like Dayton, Troy has sculptures on display. This one called "Confessions" was my favorite capture from the outing.

The Tweak Before the Show
The Edison Photo Society is having a show a the Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney. This is one of the pictures I used for the show. The first picture is what I started with. I really hated that I shot it crooked and I didn't care for the grass and dirt in the corner.
After spending a little time in PhotoShop (okay maybe more than a little) with the straightening and cloning tools--I had the picture that I wanted.
I think I may have actually liked it better if I had left it crooked.
