Adam's First Breath

Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum II
Another one of the not so abstract works of art that I liked at Pyramid Hill Park was "Adam's First Breath" by Sam McKinny. This 1800 pound sculpture is made up of bronze and granite. According to the pamphlet Adams First Breath has been the focus of Mr. McKinney's energies for more than a year and is, he says, the culmination of everything he has learned about his art.

This has got to be one of the parks most photogenic pieces. I would love to come back sometime and catch this with the evening light. This is one of those subject that make it easy to take a good picture. I found a black and white of this that another photographer entered into 2007's park photo competition. Her picture took first place and was just an awesome shot.
